Two stories up
Being on the second of our three-story house means that, technically, I get the entire second story to myself.
However it does not mean that you have complete and utter super-natural power over that story. What I mean to say is, falling out of a second story window onto the concrete pavement outside (it’s a terraced house) hurts.
Which probably explains the stiff neck I’ve been having over the past few days. It’s not really life-threatening, but it gets in the way especially when I have to look up or down. Anyway, back to the current day (this “incident” happened yesterday).
Even after last week’s really bad time in work (you don’t want to know), I’m back behind the counter at the server doing what I’ve been doing since August ‘06 - starting computers, swearing under my breath at the really annoying teenagers who’ve come in, yelling at said teenagers, trying desperately to understand the foreigners who come in with computer troubles etc. etc.
However this time, I’m now on the look-out for little shits who normal people refer to as “the teenagers of Dunboyne” (excluding me and certain other good teens). Recently they’ve taken to hanging around outside planning on how they can disrupt the shop, but none of them plucking up the courage to actually come up and disrupt. Either way, all I know is once they come up and get caught on camera - well, I’m not gonna be the cop calling to their door, arresting the teen for disorderly conduct, that’s for sure.
Anyway, better go close up the shop - then go get some chinese food for dinner and head home wondering how Pit Night will play out since yours truly won’t be there (Xbox 1 out of action, and work doesn’t open at 4am, so can’t go on the 360 there, which won’t play Halo 2 on the VGA cable anyway).
