Master of Ceremonies unlocked!
Yay! Master of Ceremonies! At 11.50 this morning, the “Achievement Unlocked” pinged up to signify it had finally been unlocked! After an hour and a half of spamming my friends and players lists, yelling at friends to get in my party, and yelling at TDM (who was in the party) to yell at the others to spam their lists, I finally got it…..
It’s amazing your emotions as you see the number of people in your party slowly go from 12 up to 15, and then you’re in a real panic waiting for someone to join before anyone leaves so you can get it. And the relief when you do start it as soon as you see number 16 join and hear the ping.
Of course, it seems some people were only staying to help me get the achievement cos two people left after 30 seconds…
Anyway a quick list of some of those who helped me out:
- l Sack Attack l
- Squiffy69
- Vizi Gen X
- SmokeyGoblin
- xTrojanWarriorx
- lankyliam
And of course not forgetting That Dudes Mom!

No Vegas Champion for me.....
This is one sure-fire glitched achievement – Rainbow 6 Vegas’s “Vegas Champion”.
Yesterday I finished doing the story mode co-operatively over Xbox Live with random people. Yet no achievement. Then I remember I forgot to do Construction Yard. I go do it – no achievement. Now I’m in the process of going through the Story Mode again, and probably not going to get the achievement.
It’s glitches like this that really piss me off. Especially as I am an achievement whore and don’t want to spend more time than is necessary getting this one, especially when that time could be better spent trying to get my rank all the way up to Elite.
Well at least I’m getting a steady flow of 100 points to up my rank by doing this – of course I’d get a hell of a lot more if I was playing some nice ranked Attack and Defend with friends who always set up the matches (yes, I play with the same people, on the same team, same map etc.) – *sighs* Well, time to go back to the Calypso Casino in the co-op story and continue where I left off in my SECOND time going through it……
A lot of things in my life are completed, and a lot of other stuff is not completed.
For example, the completed stuff includes:
- Post-Primary School
- Halo2Leagues.com
And the not completed stuff:
- 4 years of College
- Life
Of course, I could not be arsed to go on about EVERYTHING in my life that is/isn’t completed. Primarily when it concerns completed 360 games.
Today, saw the game completion record go up from 1 to 3! Now some of you out there may be saying “Meh, that’s nothing”, and some others may say “But they’re only Arcade games”. What I say is – Fuck you. Go show off how you whore your Gamerscore to someone else. And while you’re at it, whore your ma.
Anyway, before today the only game I managed to complete was UNO (it’s piss easy – 2/3 hours work and you’re up 200GS), but now I’ve been able to add Cloning Clyde (after figuring out how the fuck to become a Mutant-Clyde) and MiniGolf (well technically I only have 180, but when I do get all 200 I won’t be near a comp to post this post, so I’m adding it in now).
Now to work on the better stuff such as R6V (doubt it), Frogger (maybe), and Bejeweled 2 (not a fucking chance).

You guys should know by now how much I hate it when the US gets stuff before Europe.
And these two just happen to be part of that range of stuff! It pisses me off so much that we have to wait longer just because of where we live…
Ah well – there’s always the option to import one! Just as I’ll probably do with the 120GB 360 HDD if it doesn’t come out here at the same time as in the US…
Anyway, I’ve been wandering around the net looking at D/P related stuff and I came across something very interesting – apparently Wikipedia don’t consider Serebii a reliable source! WTF?! Serebii is one of the most, if not THE most, reliable source for Pokémon out there!
Those n00by Admins are probably just jealous that Serebii knows so much stuff that they’re in denial! Yea, that sounds like the most likely reason. Fucking assholes…

3999 Gamerscore!
More gaming-related posts. Why not given it’s all I’ve been doing practically this last week?
So yea, last night there was more Arcading with more new Arcade games (Cloning Clyde and Bejeweled). 1 thing you gotta love about each – Bejeweled, they’re very difficult; and Clyde the scores aren’t in 5 multiples. But it does allow for interesting scenarios like this where you can have your score so close to the threshold, and yet just not there.
1 single point below. Many thanks Cloning Clyde’s 14-Gamerscore “Ancestorial Antics”!
And in PC Gaming news, you might have noticed it in my sig – or my mini status to the right, but I’ve finally installed The Sims 2 on my portable! So now to see how many hours of my life I’ll waste away playing it…..
To continue the recent topic of achievements, Gamerscore and general gaming – I figured I’d go on about the amount of Xbox Live Arcade games I play.
Well, it’s a shitload. In fact, according to MGC – 11 of the 28 Xbox 360 games I’ve played have been from the Arcade.
Yea, and they seem to be taking over my playtime, given their cheap cost, ease of Gamerscore (well most of them), and quick to play. Let’s take a more detailed look at my Arcade games, shall we?
Frogger – 60/200 – 4/12
Annoyingly accurate, miss the jump my a millimeter and it punishes you. Seems alright achievement wise, yet some of them will be annoying.
PAC-MAN – 170/200 – 11/12
Fun, fun, fun. Except when you get to the levels where the Power Pellets do nothing other than make the ghosts reverse. Easy achievements with the exception of the “Perfect” one. (Eat all ghosts 4 times in the same stage)
Geometry Wars – 10/200 – 1/12
Hard. Big time hard. Achievements are hard. Except Pacifism, which I got in 2 attempts.
Marble Blast – 115/200 – 9/12
Also annoyingly accurate and big-time shitty when it comes to some of the levels. Medium achievements – some easy, some fucking impossible unless you cheat.
Jetpac – 100/200 – 7/12
Fun game, achievements are also a mix – some are easy enough, but some are really hard and require a lot of gameplay.
Worms – 185/200 – 11/12
You should know what this is like. The best game ever to grace the Arcade. And easy points too – with the exception of Challenges which is impossible – at least until they release the update to dumb down to stupidly smart AI.
Hexic – 130/200 – 9/12
Well, everyone will have played this game before since it comes with every Premium 360. Achievements are alright, but unless you’re REALLY good at the game, don’t expect to get 200/200.
Outpost Kaloki – 155/200 – 10/12
Well I adore tycoon games, so I fell in love with this game as soon as I realized what it was! Achievements are good, although it might take some time to get the all Gold Medal ones.
Texas Hold ‘Em – 120/200 – 7/12
Who doesn’t love a few hands of Poker? And since it was free it’s even better! Achievements are good, but I need to work on them more.
UNO – 200/200 – 12/12
Too fucking easy. Got 200/200 in 3 hours. Never played it since. Especially with all the camera assholes you get on Live.
Bankshot Billiards – 170/200 – 10/12
It’s a great game, but the achievements need a lot of gameplay. Which I gave. But I still need to give more….
In the future, I plan to buy a few more games – but since I’m running out of good titles to buy, I might just save up for a full game!
Since I sincerely doubt ANYONE other than me reads my 360voice, I guess I’ll go on about it here.
Yesterday was incredibly lucrative on the achievement whoring side with a massive increase of 260 ![]()
Consider the fact that I own f-all games and that figure looks even more impressive.
Of course it always helps when you have others who are also whoring achievements, and thus you can help each other to get them. There’s nothing wrong with it in our eyes
Ah, well – at least now R6V has a much higher completion percentage thanks to the addition of the Co-op T-Hunt, and all the ranked matches achievements. We could have added the Co-op Story mode, but we didn’t have that much time and it it extremely long……
At least when we do finish it I’ll have some idea of how to go about getting past the section on Nevada Dam where you have to open the floodgates. I can get down to the control station and start to hack it, but no matter how many terrorists that come round I kill, it always says “Mission Failed – You failed to open the floodgates in time”. Seriously, WTF?
Of course it’s probably just gonna take a lot of tries, just like hacking the terrorist hub in the previous mission – which got destroyed almost every time.
Ah well, back to finishing off Co-op Story Mode. And possibly getting some in Pac-Man and Geometry Wars (both only 400 points AND only 15MB, so they fit on my Memory Unit easily
)
Yea, at first this game look like fun – but only once you delve deeper into it do you realise that it is annoying as shit. Well in single-player that is.
Ugh, last night, the amount of time I spent trying to get that god-damn easter egg on Level 35… – You’re supposed to bounce off the ground in such a way, with such a speed and blasting at such a time as to hit it perfectly. Well, 60 attempts and an hour or two later – still no egg. What a load of bullshit.
It’s also the cause of all my inability to keep track of time these past couple of days. After getting through a hell of a lot of the game yesterday, I only just noticed that it was 8pm. 2 hours after I was supposed to close up the shop and I stopped getting paid – and there were still customers here! Two minutes later everyone was out and the place was shut.
Of course that’s nothing like this morning where I went to bed at 4am (after a lot of Xbox Live – Marble Blast and some R6V), with my radio alarm (6am, and stays on for 2 hours) and my phone alarm (7.15am) both set. Next thing, it’s 11.10am…..
Fuck.
Ah well, back to the playing Marble Blast online until I get the Veteran Battler achievement, and also maybe getting all the levels complete (not necessarily under par time, I just want to get them out of the way!)

*yawns* In case you can’t tell, I’m back from Interlan. T’was a long near-24 hours of gaming heaven. It could have done with more people, but you can’t have everything run smoothly, especially for a college event.
For those of you wondering WTF is/was Interlan – it is/was an intervarsity BYOPC (Bring Your Own PC)/Console gaming event. Scheduled to last 28 hours (although died after 22), it featured a wide range of tournaments and competitions from CS 1.6 and Unreal Tournament to Halo 2 and Gears.
Anyway, I mostly hid out in the console section – mainly since there were 2 floors between the two areas (technically only 1 floor, as the Venue is 1 floor below, but as the Venue is a stage the gaming section was down in the section made clear by folding the seating area under the floor. Thus in a way, 2 floors as there were 2 flights of stairs) – of course it doesn’t help when you forget the little adaptor that allows you to plug in the audio jacks from the 360 VGA cable to a computer monitor audio input. Thus I had to deal with no sound on my own console, and could only get it on one of the consoles/TVs provided by the Xbox Live Gaming Centre….
Back to the event itself – eliminated in the semi-final in PGR3 (got beaten by one of the workers from the Gaming Centre – did you expect them to be as easy as the first two where I reversed across the finish line?) – only came 5th in H2 (bastards kept stealing the fucking BR) – didn’t play in Dead or Alive (crap game) – and didn’t play in Gears (I’m crap, and there were no open spots on a team). All in all, a crap day.
Ah well, after having to lug that shit to DCU and back (the monitor is heavy as shit…..), and a lot of sleep of course (1 can of Red Bull is not enough to keep a person going that long and be able to survive without sleep!) I’m back on my feet and back at work *replaces borrowed 360 HDD that was used to be able to play Halo 2 and Arcade games at event – unfortunately was noticed missing*.
However, this morning something weird happened with regards to my Silver account – after you’ve played Arcade games for a while on your main Gold tag, you know what exactly to do. So on I go to the Silver tag (which I used to play the trial of Marble Blast – I got hooked on it an Interlan) and off to Hexic and Jetpac. 1 game in each and I get a whole hoard of achievements. But what bothers me is I got Survival in Jetpac on H3L TheChrisD, when I don’t even have it yet on my main tag…..
Ugh. And a few other things I noticed:
- Taxi drivers are very annoying the way they just stop in the middle of the road for no reason
- Sinn Féin gatherings that close off O’Connell Street are gay
- Everything seems to happen while I’m away from a computer (including being fully accepted into Tx¹, Man U losing, Bungie resetting the Halo 2 ranks etc.)
Yea, not a very intuitive title, but in fairness I’m not going to be going on about anything other than it.
Oh, and in case you are fucking stupid and ignorant: http://www.serebii.net/anime/epiguide/kanto/468.shtml
It may have been shown about 2 weeks later than Cartoon Network in the US (even though Toonami started showing the series earlier!), but at least now Season 9 is out of the way. Here’s hoping that Toonami will surprise me and show the first few eps of Sinnoh for the second week of the “Easter Marathon”.
All I can say is, if they do, I’m gonna go buy a recordable DVD player or a capture card, record it and upload it for all to see (and say “Fuck you” to anyone who tries to get it taken down for copyright/trademarks and other legal shit).
And if all else fails, I’ll be badgering those I know who have capture cards to record it and upload it for me. *runs off to hold the CBTS site hostage until Penny records it* – hehehehehe, being webmaster is fun
