I never actually realised that it might be tough to make a brand-new-from-scratch theme for my blog.

Oh well, here goes nothing…
If all goes according to plan, it’ll look a heck of a lot better than this one (mainly cos I’ll have made it myself). And, if Meteor ever get back to me about sending text messages as e-mails, I’ll also have a new “Mini-Blog” section – if anything happens that’s not worth making a whole new post about (like the new episode of The Simpsons this Sunday is going to be a rip-off of 24 ), but it still post-worthy, I’ll simply text it to my blog, and it’ll get posted in the mini-blog section

Yes, there hasn’t been much happening recently.

In fairness, I am too busy with job hunting, coding H3L, and designing a new skin for this blog.

I hope to add a new line of blog posts, entitled “TheChrisD’s View On”.

How is it that an Internet café with an amazing connection when it comes to playing online games, is absolutely crap when it comes to downloading stuff?

Take for example, Pokémon D/P. I was watching episode 8 on Veoh, only to have to wait 2 hours for the video to fully load (130MB) just because the download speed here sucks. What the fuck is up with that?

Ah well, I got plenty of time, so I can wait. It would be easier to download them to my external HDD (which is now working again, since I found the power cable for it!), but the site is very complicated when it comes to downloading. That and it would take 2 hours, so to download the series would take fucking ages…..

Man, I need a laptop and Clearwire……

No, I am not a journalist. But, I have a little review of this weekend’s TV choices.

Formula 1

OK, Hamilton won a Grand Prix. Stop going on about it. You’re acting worse than when Jenson Button won in Hungary last year! However, one thing I will say. Although it has been said he got hurt in the smash, Kubica’s crash was insane!
Yes, it hurt, and caused a shitload of debris, but it looked funky. And it seems they’ve finally spruced up the Safety Car thing and mae it more NASCARy. Too bad half of the drivers didn’t get it. And the black flag for Massa? Bullshit. Fucking asses. And laugh at Alonso for all his mistakes. Pressure’s getting to him!

NASCAR Pocono 500

OK, why a triangle? Oh well, just another bit of weirdness. Same with the back wing. I thought they changed that thing in the last race? Aren’t they gonna make up their mind? And why the hell are they so scared of racing in the rain? F1 does it, so why should you guys get to say “Oh noes, it’s raining, so we can’t race, thus we’ll either stop the race or do it tomorrow, thus being a nusiance for everyone!” Wusses.

Simpsons 400th Episode

I admit I was hyped up about this. And it failed to deliver. OK, the Tracy Ullma short “couch” gag was good, but lacked reason. And the plot was crappy. But at least they showed how the FCC wreck TV with all the bleeps and filters. Bring on South Park and their saying of “shit” over 130 times in 1 episode! BTW, that WoW episode was bullshit.

Scarred

MTV’s new show is crazy weird and really gross. I admit I was really fucking squeamish. If I want to see shit like that, I’ll watch ER, thank you very much. I’d rather not have to watch crap on MTV when I’m looking for good stuff.

Two major firsts occured today:

- For the first time, I was top of the Clan server (click to massively enlarge):

- I used, Photoshop for the first time, and completed my first (set of) images:

But one first that did not occur, was watching “Dawn of a New Era” for the first time, cos nobody’s uploaded it yet…..

In case you haven’t heard yet, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl is starting up again (in the US) tomorrow night on Cartoon Network. Usually this means I have to wait several months before it is launched over here. Except when there are people out there nice enough to upload episodes (and movies) to the Internet.

Right now, or at least in a couple of days, I will be glued to this MySpace video profile. Mainly cos they’ve uploaded the first 3 episodes of D/P and I presume that they’re gonna upload the rest as they are shown!

* Cleenfly is exicted as well, but still pissed off that he isn’t in this season *

Of course, it would help if other people would be able to record it as well.
Record it for me, and I’ll be glad to host it here!

My god, 5 days without the Internet is not nice…. especially when you have as much to do on it as me!
