The curse of Michigan

Recently, I’ve been thinking that Michigan is cursed. Why, you ask? Well it’s kind of a long-ish story…..

It all starts Sunday evening, around 7pm. I turn on the TV, and head over to Setanta Sports (Magnet: 105), expecting there to be the 3M Performance 400 from MIS on.
Then I find out that there is a rain delay, and eventually an hour later, that it has been postponed until Monday. I’m thinking “no biggie, I’ll watch it tomorrow night at midnight”.

Monday night at midnight - turn on the TV to Setanta - postponed due to ran yet again. Yea, that’s a little annoying, and the fact that they show the Busch race from Saturday isn’t much of a compromise. Alright, better tune in Tuesday.

Tuesday night at midnight - turn on the TV to Setanta - YES! We have some Nextel Cup coverage! But wait, what’s this little blue ticker at the bottom of the screen saying? “Due to technical difficulties, we are unable to bring you the full coverage of the 3M Performance 400. You are watching the highlights” - WTF?! 2 days of waiting for the race, and I’m only gonna get snippets? That’s BS…..

And the annoyance is compounded by the fact that I only found out this week, that I missed them racing at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (for those of you non-F1 fans, that means the Montreal road circuit) two weeks beforehand, and the fact that JPM (Montoya, Car 42) only finished in 26th which doesn’t help his campaign for getting into the Chase at all! ARGH!

WATCHING - A hell of a lot of alternatives to the Nextel Cup……
HOPING - JPM can pull off a miracle and get into the Chase
FIXING - A lot of Penny’s screw-ups with the CBTS forums
