Really Stupid Syndication?

Unfortunately, no more rants down there!

We all know that Thunderbird (on it’s own) can be used for two things: e-mail and feed reading. Although I rarely have to respond to e-mails, I do end up doing a lot of reading.

Anyway, going through the latest batch of feed items - right now just casually reading. See TriXie has another Gamer Spotlight. You know I kinda wish that I could be interviewed by TriXie, although whether they’d see me as someone worth interviewing it another thing entirely. I may not have a flashy community website (anymore), but I’m still a decent community member - one thing that you CAN’T say about other Irish gamers.

Anyway, alright it’s another random guy who owns a community site - quick pop over to see. Alright, it’s something, I’m not going head over heels about it, but then again I don’t really go head over heels for most stuff. I went over to Xbox.com to have a look - 4275 messages. Wow, I’m suprised how I’ve managed to go through so many even with my lack of 360 ownership. Maybe I can blame all those “Halo 2 messages” from back in the Halo 2 prime days….

The rest of the feeds don’t really have too much to show - the usual double reporting of Xbox.com stuff, more F1 news that is repeated almost to death, and Jimmie Johnson taking pole for Homestead….

Anyway, after a little bit of searching on the Thunderbird support forum, I’ve finally managed to rid myself of those rogue feed folders that just would not disappear! Now I just hope all the feeds still work now that I’ve put them all into the one RSS “account”, to save having a bunch of them up near the top of the list, and a bunch right down the bottom.
Pity it took to manually removing/editing files - never nice to have to do that.
