The gaming starts now!

OK, maybe not right now - I could have sworn it started at 10, but apparently it’s not till 11. Ah well at least it gives me the hour to prepare and stuff like that.
Wonder if the roommates will miss the microwave and kettle? Then I could make food without having to leave the gaming!

Anyway, BYOPC will be 24 hours of non-stop PC, and console gaming! Even though I’m going to be there with my steam-powered laptop (Sweat’s lame attempt at a joke regarding my rig), I’m not expecting many miracles in the CS:S tourney.I’m just hoping I can get at least 1 kill that isn’t a lucky headshot from completely firing like mad. Which, given my computer’s lack of performance, will fire probably only about 50% of the time. 9 fps and 100ms ping on dust2 is not my idea of “good performance”.

Anyways, I can’t be too sure if Internet access will be available there, but I presume so given that we’ll be using the BYOPC website to manage the event. If you want to check up on me, simple head to that website and find me in the user’s list. Too lazy to lazy link you.
I’ll probably be challenging more for the most caffeine competition rather than any of the gaming competitions….

Of course, one thing I did learn from Interlan last year, is that is can get very hot in the gaming rooms! Although we won’t be cooped up in the Seminar Room with loads of 360’s like last time, I’m still expecting it to get warm down in the Venue. Strippable layers are essential. And if all else fails, run outside in the hope it’s raining. Which is quite probable, as just 10 minutes ago there was a little shower here, even though the sun is still shining…..

Hmmm, Man U match on Monday…. probably a good thing, cos I’d be too busy gaming to pay attention to either the score, or Craig IM’ing me with the play-by-play!
