Identities

Everyone’s identity on the Internet is… questionable, to say the least. Unless you know them in real life and have seen them go about their Internet business under that handle. But other than that, you really can’t confirm that the person you think you know online, is who they say they are.

To go along with a person’s identity, usually they use the same name across many different websites and platforms. Like myself, every single website you find me on, bar two (Bebo and Bungie.net), you’ll find me as TheChrisD. Nowadays, there are ever more ways to use your identity globally on the Internet. Most Microsoft-related sites let you use your Windows Live ID to login, there are services such as Gravatar and Identicons, that store your avatar/image for you and when you use a site that supports them, your icon shows. And then various other sites that use various other account, like your Google or Yahoo account, or maybe your Wordpress.com username, or something in that fashion.

Anyway, to the point. Most of you will have seen my current avatar - I’ll tell you where I got it later - and probably haven’t yet attributed it to me yet. After seeing the Photoshop competition on Bungie where they gave Recon to the best Photoshop usage of a given pic of Frankie (who BTW, left Bungie for pastures new at Microsoft, in case you haven’t been paying any fucking attention!), I began to think whether people who are good at Photoshop, would be able to ’shop me into my current avatar, in place of Ash’s face.

So here’s my shout-out to the world. If anyone who is good at Photoshop can take a pic of me (preferably my current "official" pic, everything else is just too crap to use - or even publish for that matter) and ’shop it into my avatar, that would be great. I’d even pay you for it if you wanted to.
That doesn’t mean I’m going to pay you before you make it. Deal is - you make it, show me it, and if I like it the best to use it as my global avatar, then I’ll pay you for it. So get creating!

Oh, and there’s a bonus in it if you can ’shop Baby Bear onto Pikachu - face and white fur is a start, but if you can make some wacky fusion of the ears, that’d be even better.

If you did read this far down looking for where I got the image - it’s from the D/P episode Dawn’s Early Night (DP049), pretty much right at the start, when Ash, Pikachu and the other Pokémon run flat into the door of the Hearthome Gym after Nando tells them it’s closed.

EDIT - 22 May @ 23:07: Alright, just to clarify - what I’m looking for is my face in place of Ash’s - but with Ash’s expression! Just simply cutting my face out and pasting it on top of Ash’s, without blending them or anything isn’t really what I’m looking for
