I know we all hate those really small bits of loose change – all those 1c, 2c, and possibly even 5c coins that end up just lying around the place and really aren’t all that useful. Well, they’re still legal tender, so whoever said you can’t use your small change to pay for things?
Grannymar wrote a piece last week about the Beano inspired by a post she saw about it. It made me want to go out and buy the 70th birthday edition this week, mainly to remind me how things were (albeit only 6 or 7 years ago) and to see how things have changed since then. I managed to buy one, now let’s see what’s new!
Set the next couple of hours aside, and enjoy this. If you have ever played Animal Crossing, wther it be on the GameCube or the DS, then you’ll really like this
I just read elly’s latest post about how the new search engine Cuil, is a little “wrong in the head” when it comes to ordering search results. So I decided to give it a shot myself, just to see what it’s like for me.
Back at around this time last year, blogging for me was a completely different matter. There was a lot less thought put into posts, topics were often more random and sometimes even more controversial, and the audience was a lot different as well! It had it’s ups and downs, but there has been one particular downside that is still affecting me a bit to this day.
I kinda promised Grannymar a while back that I’d write one of these, after she wrote one herself – sorry it took so long!
I wanted to post on Saturday about Friday’s Tweetup, but unfortunately I ended up going out for all of yesterday to the hair day and a family barbecue for the rest of the afternoon. So here’s my belated post, although it probably won’t have as much info as I would have originally liked…
It’s a bit of a slow blog day today, or this week for that matter, so this is really just going to end up a compilation of several small things that have been through my head for the past few hours. Compilations FTW.
There’s a bit of Gladiator mania taking place on Sky One right now, to co-incide with the start of the quarter-finals (I’m just after enjoying seeing both men winning on Pyramid and Oblivion being told off!) – but it’s not the only confrontation that’s taking place right now!
It’s unfortunate that some people seem to have a natural requirement to be idiots on IRC channels…
Here’s a prime example of one of those idiots.
