I just read on Blacknight’s status blog, that there will be scheduled downtime Friday night, starting around 10pm. So expect me to be down for a couple of hours. That means don’t go @replying me or DM’ing me on Twitter asking WTF is up!

That’s really all I have to say. If you’re on Blacknight’s new shared hosting platform (i.e. the Minimus, Medius or Maximus packages), you will be affected as well. I don’t mind downtime in this way. It’s scheduled, it’s mentioned several days in advance, it’s spread around quite a bit (e.g. here), and it won’t last for too long. Unlike GoDaddy who sometimes went down for about 6 hours at a time without any mention whatsoever…

    Im on hosting 365 – it goes down every other day so be glad you have notice.

    @B’dum: Just as long as you don’t do it in the style of Mr. ‘Flex down there…

    @Lottie: Wow, it is true. Akismet does treat you as spam because of your website’s URL… Maybe it’s time I whit… – Oh right, WP doesn’t have a whitelist, only a blacklist… :(

    @AdjustantReflex: The opposite of marking as spam. It’s what you do when a legitimate comment has been caught by Akismet.
