» The obligatory TeenCamp post

This be the obligatory post about TeenCamp Ireland which took place to-alright, yesterday. I’m not sure how much of it will be actually talking about the day, and how much of it will juse be links to everyone new I met… I also would be posting this from my lovely new Nokia N810, but it’s not fully charged yet :P

So, what exactly happened? Well, after the intro (and Alan‘s failure at getting his Mac to speak stuff) we were treated to some lovely talks from Tommy, Klara, David, and me; before we started a round of introductions on stage, with your Twitter/blog showing on the projector screen for all to click and follow :)

Pizza was next – it’s just not a meeting of teens and just past teens, and so nowhere near teens without pizza :D

More intros, a talk with Darragh and Stephen with everyone about why they blog, what do the blog about etc. – and to cap it all off, what has to be the most legendary talk from Ben (video below!).

Oh, and Phil won a 360, so now he has no excuse to not be doing anything when he’s bored of the Internet ;)

I also picked up my N810 as my prize from Damien’s comp a while back, still need to get it to connect to my laptop somehow to get it online…

My supposed presentation

Yea, my computer sort of crashed onced I plugged it into the VGA cable connected to the projector (almost like it does when I connect it to my monitor), so the presentation I gave wasn’t quite what it was supposed to be…

Obligatory List of New (to me) Blogs

(This is all based on those new feeds that are now in my feed reader and haven’t yet been sorted into the “Blogs” folder)

Someone please remind me at some point in the future to add all those to the Links page…

Ben Kenealy’s Talk

Epic. Damien recorded it :)

    *jealous*

Sounds like it was a good day, alright! When’s the next one? And how did the tweet-up afterwards go?

    • TheChrisD

It was a good day – there was plenty of laughs abound, and a lot of new Twitter connections being made!

The tweet-up actually fell royally apart. It did start with Elly saying she couldn’t make it as Adamstown has a severe power-cut (as did Dunboyne, as a matter of fact!), and she was way behind. Plus some others went home earlier, and others just stayed behind in the pub.
Instead a few of us went and had a lovely dinner in the IFI restaurant (made even better by Darragh Doyle’s 10% discount!) – I’d definitely recommend going there!

As for the next one, well you better ask Enda and Alan ;)

Yea, took a while to figure that one out – but once I did… well I’m just too lazy to come back and update old posts :D
