Alright, as part of my Xmas shopping, I got a few things for myself. So along with Pok̩mon Diamond, I got another copy of Seasons (the first one I gave to Avril), and Bon Voyage Рto make the game completely up to date. Installed, did the first run crap, and got back to our favourite little Greek House

Anyway, first things first was to go looking in the Buy menu for new stuff. Nothing much changed except that the pool’s diving board, is now a water slide – plus the pool has new floor-level surrounding lights. There are also a couple of new trees out front since Chris randomly had a want to buy a tree.

Anyway, back to playing and the first thing I noticed was that Shanna’s Aspiration and Needs were decaying normally! A good thing, as now she’s playable as a normal character rather than a zombie, and also now the girls bathroom will get some use
I also decided later on that her old look was also being used by several other townies, so off to the boutique to buy a new look!

Anyway… I really need to stop starting new paragraphs with anyway…

The rest of the household were busy working on their grades (yea, right!), making/keeping friends and generally living. Brian was almost caught in the master bed again, but escaped punishment for now. What could have been punishing however was the fact that during a thunderstorm (another plus for Seasons), one of the new trees got struck by lightning and went on fire! Wasn’t as big of a deal as by the time Jessie got to the phone (he was the closest Sim in sight when I noticed), the rain had put out the fire. Kinda handy I must admit, but still scary…

Jessie also had a bit of a falling out with Chris and Shanna after he apparently caught Shanna cheating on him. It’s very weird though as he only had a crush of her, whilst Chris and Shanna, by now, were in love! A little friendly hug set him off, which is really odd. Also, a new housemate arrived in the form of… well someone. I forget their name. Which is one of the reasons I need to not wait so long after playing before posting one of these!

On the academic front, Chris maintained his perfect 4.0 GPA with another A+, which was surprisingly matches by Brian and Jessie… Shanna also notched up an A+. The three lads are now into their final year in college, whilst Shanna is in the second semester of the sophmore year – better go find some new housemates to move in!

And one final twist. Shanna proposed to Chris and he accepted! I guess that means someone has a few “plans” for the future… The main reason it was her proposing and not him is simple. She had the want, he didn’t. Don’t expect wedding bells too soon though, she still has 2 years to do after Chris graduates!

Let’s check what’s currently happening with the household:

• Chris is after coming back from his Final Exam with the A+ I decree he must get. 3 more semesters to go before graduation!
• Shanna appears to still be bugged and not suffer from Need or Aspiration decay. She is currently doing her Final Exam to complete Freshman year. An A+ will return.
• Brian, who is let run amok is not taking proper care of himself. He is also caught in the master bed, for which he will be punished.
• Jessie is, well I dunno what he’s up to, but he has a lot of Wants to eat food even though his Hunger is almost full….

Brian Chen – Oversize jaw, and no sense of dress sense whatsoever. Was a Townie before he went to college with Chris.

Shanna Wong – Tomboy, and the freak of the household as neither her needs nor her aspiration decay…..
At least this makes her the perfect homecare and friend-maker slave.

Chris Daly – Me. ‘Nuff said.

Jessie Anderson – Neat freak, the other of the original Townies that moved in with Chris.

Anyway, I hope to put up a series of posts about what I’ve “accomplished” in my sessions of The Sims 2. Currently, my version of the game has all expansions up to Pets (I would have Seasons, but I gave that to Avy ), just in case some of the stuff that happens seems odd to you.

Anyway, before I start writing these posts, maybe a little “story so far” would be in order:

• Started off in Pleasanview. Seemed the most “normal” of the three to play on.
• Made the primary family I’d play – consisting of teen Chris (i.e. me), and his dog Baby Bear (he’s better off as a dog than a cat, right?)
• Also made a father, John – as sent him off to Suicide Point as soon as they moved in.
  1 – To kill him off because I didn’t want to play with a parent around.
  2 – Because my real father left me and my mom when I was only 3, and he’s dead to me, so this is practically the same thing.
  John died a classic death – a pool with no ladder.
• Chris went through his Teen years. Baby Bear went through some of his Adult years.
• Chris moved to college (Academie le Tour) with some other friends from the neighbourhood.
• Chris went through1 year of college.
• After a nice injection of cash (*cough* motherlode *cough*), they moved into the Chancellor’s Hacienda and transformed it into the Hoh-Cham Greek House.
• Another year went by, with a new household member.

This brings us to the current situation:

Chris is currently in the first semester of his Junior Year. He is studying Philosophy since it is the one that has most emphasis on Cooking skill, of which Chris has 8 points. His Lifetime Want is to own 5 Top Level Businesses, so restaurants and fresh food stores will be the businesses of choice. He has a shitload of Aspiration points which will be saved up for Elixirs and Kibbles of Life.

Right, off to the game to continue the story! I’ll take snapshots and possibly videos (might not get them at first, since I’ll only upload them if I can get the FlowPlayer FLV player to work right, if it does then woohoo!)
