3V Dregs
My current way of giving back to the many communities and forums I am on, is the “Dregs on a 3V voucher” Donation scheme.
For those of you who don’t know, a 3V voucher is a pre-paid credit card you can get over here (More info can be found on http://www.3v.ie). When the amount of credit on it gets down to an amount that I can’t use to buy something decent online, near the expiry date, or under €2.50 (which is what they charge to get unused credit on it), I donate the remainder to a site/community I feel deserves it. That way, I don’t have to waste €2.50 just to get abut 50 cents back, and a site gets some money to help them grow.
