Here is the page dedicated to my Minecraft Survival server!

Connecting

Requirements: Skype, Minecraft :3

1. In order to connect to the server, you obviously first need the IP. Problem is, with the machine not being a dedicated machine with a static IP, it may change from time to time. So to get the IP, visit the Skype group.
2. To join the Skype group, click here. The IP will be listed in the chat topic.
3. Then you can connect to the server and browse around immediately, but you will need to be given building permissions by a Helper or an Op before you can properly engage in the server. This method works better than a whitelist and it allows you to have a look around and engage with people right off the bat.

Server Hierarchy

• Helpers: Rashedgaroth, ShadowWolf_32, OceanArtist, HarmfulGravemind, Slowriderxcorps
  Helpers have the ability to validate new members – as well as the ability to invalidate them if necessary.
  Are also set as conversation hosts in the Skype chat.

Rules

1. Obvious but, NO GRIEFING. Griefing is considered a major infraction.
   As a subset of this, doing anything which requires the server to have to go to a previous backup is a medium infraction. This may or may not include lava (outside of special constructions), TNT (unless excavating or in mob traps), or Creeper luring.
2. No stealing from other people, even if they have forgotten to lock it. Stealing is a minor infraction. Also, taking well more than required from – or completely emptying – public chests will be treated as stealing.
3. PvP is off, with the exception of special locations yet to be determined.
4. Don’t interfere with other people’s constructions, doing so is considered a minor infraction.
5. Don’t interfere with specific public locations, doing so is considered a medium infraction.
6. Stockpiling is OK, but do have some consideration for others.
7. No claiming cave networks.
8. Do not destroy dungeons/abandoned mineshafts/strongholds, rather use them to create underground safe spots. Moss stone farming is acceptable.
9. Portals may not be created without specific permission. Portals must be located away from major thoroughfares and away from player constructions.
10. Tamed wolves are limited to 1 per person, if even. Tamed wolves still count against the neutral mob cap, so many wolves prevent new animals from spawning.

Guidelines

Build stuff like this to guide people out!

1. If you wish to skip night, and there are others around, please ask in chat to see if others will sleep. Most people on the server tend to work through the night!
2. Please replant trees when you cut them down, especially in tree farm areas.
3. Please replant seeds when you harvest wheat/pumpkins/melons, and leave the bottom bit of sugar cane for it to continue growing.
4. Please do not disturb funky natural formations.
5. Please leave a “breadcrumb trail” when mining inside caves, or when exploring the Nether, so others can find the way out. The best way is to make a 2-block high column of cobblestone/netherrack with a torch on it, with the torch pointing in the direction to go to get out.

Infractions

• Minor: Player file reset, this resets you to spawn and deletes your inventory.
• Medium: Probation or a short ban.
• Major: Permanent ban for your IP and nickname.

Special Locations

With 1.8 just being released, there is a new map, so there are no special locations as of yet! However, NPC villages (if found!) are considered special locations.

Plugins

• Lockette – Lock chests and doors with a sign. Place a sign on the ground next to the chest, or on the wall above the door with [Private] on the first line to lock. Other people can be given access by placing their names on lines 3 and 4, or is can be marked public by putting [Everyone]. Lockette used on doors automatically adds an auto-door closing timer.
• HeroicDeath – Funky death messages displayed over chat when you die! Suggest new lines in the Skype group.
